Watching your baby in the NICU via live web stream

Posted: Updated:
NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) -

A pilot program called NIC View allows parents to see their baby anytime via a live web stream.

Veer Dave has been in the neonatal intensive care unit at St. Peter's University Hospital for more than two months. He was born on October 24, 2013, weighing just 2 pounds 11 ounces.

Veer's parents can't be at the hospital 24 hours a day so they're getting some peace of mind thanks to the pilot program called NIC View.

Veer's mom Rachna says the past 74 days has been a very long journey, but she's glad to know she can monitor her child even when she can't be there in person.

Monday is very special for the Dave family because Veer is getting discharged and will be going home with his family in Somerset, New Jersey.
