Bridgegate Lawsuits - My9 New Jersey

Bridgegate Lawsuits

Posted: Updated:
Bergen County, New Jersey (My9NJ) - While some of the dust from bridgegate may be settling a little bit, there seems to be new storms brewing.

Six people from Bergen County have already filed a class-action lawsuit that may actually end up helping some of the angry motorists affected by the lane closures.

A lawyer from a national law firm Kyros Law has started a website timeforsometrafficproblemsinfortlee.com which has the email exchange between Bridget Kelly and David Wildstein just above a contact form where dozens of angry drivers have already reached out to him about how they were affected by the traffic problems and lane closures. People said they experienced everything from missed time at work to panic attacks.

The process of this lawsuit involves a liability pool which includes knowing exactly how much money was lost while hundreds of people sat in traffic.

The CEO of the law firm is putting up his own money to conduct a traffic study of his own called an economic feasibility study to see exactly how much money was lost. Once that study is complete and the amount of monetary loses are determined people could end up getting paid.
