New Names Indicated In Bridgegate Fiasco

Posted: Updated:
Trenton, New Jersey (My9NJ) - Since more documentation surrounding bridgegate has been released, more names are coming out of people in Christie’s administration who may or may not have had involvement in the lane closures.

Top Christie administration official and soon to be his next chief of staff, Regina Egea, was forwarded an email from former Port Authority Deputy Executive Director Bill Baroni that was originally sent by former Port Authority Executive Director Patrick Foye who was angry about the lane closures. The subpoenaed emails however show no indication of whether or not Egea actually responded to Baroni.

In a press conference in December Christie announced his plan to make Egea his next chief of staff. “You’re only as good as the people around you,” he said.

The question remains if he is going to follow through with promoting Egea after the documents released show that she did in fact have some knowledge of the lane closures.
