Mayor Bill de Blasio is acknowledging that more could have been done to keep the streets of the Upper East Side clear in Tuesday's winter storm after hearing criticism about unplowed roads that brought traffic to a crawl. Traffic congestion was particularly bad at the bridges and tunnels.

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

As an adult, you may remember a time when snow was fun, like making snow angels. Now that you're grown up with a job to get to and a home to tend to, snow usually means shoveling out streets, driveways, and your own car.

It is annoying.

And there are some challenges that city dwellers find extra annoying when there is heavy snowfall, such as carrying a big bag of groceries or a big bag of laundry in all this mess. Or when your umbrella protection backfires or when the people you're walking near turn into pedestrian roadblocks.

You wish you could just drive on by without a care in the world.

It's annoying, yes, but as an adult you shovel, you slip, you slide, you deal with it.
