Super Bowl Snacking - My9 New Jersey

Super Bowl Snacking

Posted: Updated:

On this week's Valerie's New Jersey podcast, it's all about Super Bowl events and a new way to enjoy a favorite football-watching snack...the pretzel. But, thanks to a product that can be found not in a plastic bag, but instead in the frozen food section, I think you'll look at pretzels in a whole new way! Plus find out about my New Jersey Pick of the Week. All on Valerie's New Jersey.

Some upcoming events to check out around the area:

Wine and Art

You can enjoy a selection of domestic and international Gallo wines during the 5th annual At the Shore Wine Tasting Art Show on Wednesday, February 5 at the Atlantic City Country Club from 5-8 p.m. There will be a slate of local artists' work represented and a silent auction. The event is a hospitality scholarship fund raiser benefiting the Greater Atlantic City Concierge Association and the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority Foundation.

Art and medicine combine at Mt. Sinai in New York City

A beautiful new art installation has just been revealed at the Hess Center for Science and Medicine at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York.

Artist Joan DiLieto recently debuted her Project Miele, three huge paintings depicting a perfect blend of art and science. Ms. DiLieto was inspired to create the trio while undergoing chemotherapy treatments at the facility. The work suggests cellular composition painted with warm colors and melds together like the relationship between patient and physician.

"Miele" is the Italian word for honey. And you can surely feel the healing properties of honey when viewing the 8 foot paintings at the Hess Center.
