New Jersey's Most Pleasant Place

Posted: Updated:
Lakewood, New Jersey (My9NJ) - Despite the recent weather, New Jersey still has a lovely location to run off to. Lakewood, New Jersey is considered the most pleasant place in the state because of how nice the weather has been there compared to other parts of the Garden State.

Kelly Norton used to be a software engineer at Google and he created a map of the whole United States using weather data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The map determines the most pleasant places to live in the United States, based on weather patterns. According to the results, Lakewood is the most pleasant place in New Jersey with 73 pleasant days a year. Ironically, this leaves about 292 days throughout the year that are only considered to be mediocre.

Although Lakewood locals are considered to be living where there is the most enjoyable weather, like all New Jerseyans they are fighting through the miserable winter weather the state is experiencing now. Lakewood isn’t the only charming place in the United States either. Los Angeles, California is voted number one on the charts with over 90 pleasant days during the year.
