Video Shows Octopus Grabbing Camera From Scuba Diver

Posted: Updated:

CARMEL, Calif. — A video of a scuba diver taking underwater pictures drew the attention of an octopus has gone viral. Apparently the octupus was not in the mood to have his picture taken.

The eight-armed creature tried to grab the camera from the man and a sort of tug-of-war ensued.

The whole thing lasted for a few tense moments, especially when you consider octopi are venomous.

Watch the video in the player above to see the giant octopus latch onto the camera, for whatever reason.

The interaction happened on a dive at Bluefish Cove at Point Lobos State Reserve in Carmel, Calif.

The video has so far gotten 200,000 views on Youtube.
