The other Rachel Cannings - My9 New Jersey

The other Rachel Cannings

Posted: Updated:
Trenton, New Jersey (My9NJ) -

One is a South Florida homecoming queen, the other is a student in Northern Ireland. Neither of them sued their parents but both of them have been harassed on social media simply because they share a name with New Jersey’s Rachel Canning, who is suing her parents.

Chasing New Jersey did an exclusive interview with Ireland’s Rachel Canning.  She’s a 21 year old student who says that even though they weren’t meant for her, she couldn’t believe that people would go out of their way to attack New Jersey’s Rachel Canning.

Although she has never met New Jersey’s Rachel Canning, She did receive a message of apology for the mistaken abuse she was getting.

Florida’s Rachel Canning is homecoming queen at the University of South Florida and thinks that the level of venom that she received is too much regardless of how old someone is

When her Facebook page got 15,000 views in 24 hours she decided to add a link to raise money for autism research.

Most of us on the outside have followed the social media feedback and offered our opinions but two young ladies attacked because of their name both agree that discussion is fine but they’ve experienced the intense hatred directed towards New Jersey’s Rachel Canning and think that all of us should think before we post.

Some residents of West New York, New Jersey are happy with their beautiful views of Manhattan, but aren’t too happy about the noise that is coming over from the city. Residents who live at the Hudson Club apartment complex at Port Imperial say that the music that reportedly comes from a new concert hall at Pier 97 across the Hudson River in New York City is affecting their quality of life.
