Chester County SPCA Rescues Over Two Dozen Puppies

Posted: Updated:

The Chester County SPCA (CCSPCA) was called to action on the afternoon of March 21, 2014 to save 24 scared dogs held in an illegal kennel in poor condition.

If the dogs were not surrendered, the kennel owner could have been charged with multiple cruelty charges.

The dogs were held in approximately a six-by-ten foot room, trapped in their own odor and waste.

None of the dogs were licensed or had a rabies shot. The shed they were kept in was covered in sawdust, wood chips, and feces.

The CCSPCA stepped in and contacted nearby shelters to take in some of the local dogs and better their health.
