California says goodbye to "Norma Jean"   as a giant statue of icon, Marilyn Monroe, heads east.

A send-off party for the statue took place in Palm Springs last Thursday.

The 26 ft. tall statue heads to Hamilton, New Jersey.

It will be part of an exhibit honoring its designer, Seward Johnson.

The statue depicts the memorable billowing skirt pose from the classic film, "The Seven Year Itch."
