Permanent Make-Up Procedures - My9 New Jersey

Permanent Make-Up Procedures

Posted: Updated:
Ridgewood, New Jersey (My9News) -

Some residents of New Jersey are now exploring the relatively new industry of permanent cosmetics. Essentially this means getting makeup tattooed on your face.

Sondra Veroli is a patient at Endurance Permanent Cosmetics in Ridgewood, New Jersey. She recently got a permanent eyeliner procedure done and the lovely lady is thrilled with her results.

"I do find difficulty of lining a bit, ya know to have it perfect, and I just feel that this is a fabulous way that I can get up in the morning and it's done," she explained.

Veroli said that the swelling goes down pretty quickly and now she doesn't have to deal with the hassle of getting made up in the morning, especially in her golden years when sometimes it's hard to keep a steady hand.

However, she said that these procedures aren't just for women her age, but for everyone.

"I think this is so good for young working mothers. They don't have to take time to make up, they're all done, they take their children, I mean time is of the essence for young mothers," she explained.

With over 1,000 clients in just over two-years, Endurance Permanent Cosmetics owner Elizabeth Veloz said that these procedures are becoming so popular because the makeup looks natural.

"We take a very subtle approach to permanent makeup at Endurance; we want it to be something that you can wake up with every day and feel like you can go to a park. We don't make you look like you're going to a club. It's something that enhances the look," she explained.

The town of Hoboken, New Jersey is cracking down on Uber cars driving in and picking up passengers in the city. Uber is an app that you can use to request a car service to pick you up, but city officials say they are not licensed to operate in town. Marcus Enriquez was actually thrown out of an Uber car by a Hoboken police officer. He said he was on his way to work outside of the Hoboken taxi stand when a cop knocked on the window, kicked him out of the car and ticketed the Uber driver.
