Google Peep Show - My9 New Jersey

Google Peep Show

Posted: Updated:
Trenton, New Jersey (My9NJ) - Imagine if you can take the convenience of the Google Maps app off the road and actually get an inside view of a business instead. There’s a new company called Every Merchant that was chosen by Google to partake in a program to bring what is called, ”Business view to you!” This program has the capability to create a 360 degree view tour of any place. This process is simply done by taking hundreds of photos of any business and stitching them together.

Vice President of Every Merchant Media Network, Jason Marsdale, said that his company is honored to team up with google and bring this kind of new technology to consumers.

“It wasn’t our first dance in the rodeo with Google, they came to us on this project and we said of course anything Google we want to be a part of,” he explained.

Every Merchant makes money off of this program from a one-time photography fee that is given to them from the business owners. The price is based on the size and location of their business.

To observe the benefits of this program, there was a case study done during restaurant week in New York City. The study showed that there was a 30% increase in reservation clicks because now customers had the chance to electronically check out the business in addition to consumer reviews online.
