Lewis Katz’ Legacy - My9 New Jersey

Lewis Katz’ Legacy

Posted: Updated:
New Jersey entrepreneur and business man Lewis Katz who was sadly killed in a tragic plan crash over the weekend will be memorialized on Wednesday at his alma mater, Temple University in Philadelphia.

Ever since the accident, people have been talking about his impact on New Jersey and throughout the country. One of his accomplishments is starting the Katz academy charter school where students and teachers there discussed the legacy that Katz will leave behind.

“He was brought up right here in these Camden streets and he showed that if I could do it, you could do it and he passed on that on to our children here. He’ll be greatly missed and the legacy that is him we will wear it on our chests and in our hearts forever,” Tishara Landi, Katz Academy Charter School Principal said.

There are no details yet as to what caused the gulfstream plane to crash before it ever got off the ground in Massachusetts as he and several others were returning from a fundraiser focused one education.
