TMZ’s Harvey Levin Dispels Rumors Involving Tracy Morgan Crash

Posted: Updated:
Middlesex, NJ (MY9NJ) - Yesterday afternoon Kevin Roper, the driver of the Walmart truck which crashed into the car injuring Tracy Morgan and killing fellow comedian James “Uncle Jimmy Mack” McNair, was arraigned in Middlesex County Courthouse.

Roper was charged with one count of vehicular homicide and an additional charge of assault by auto. His bail has been set at $50,000.

TMZ’s Harvey Levin chimed in to discuss the media frenzy surrounding Morgan’s injuries and the stories that continue to develop like how Morgan’s mom was allegedly blocked from seeing him in the hospital by his fiancée Megan Wollover.

“It was the day after the accident and the mom who is estranged from Tracy and has been for eleven years, it looks like she may not have seen him for that long, she showed up to the hospital because she said, ‘look it doesn’t matter whether we’re getting along or not getting along, I’m his mother, he’s my son, he is in critical condition fighting for his life and I want to see him.’ The fiancée had issues with that and according to the mom, who talked to us, the fiancée blocked her at the front door and she could not get in to see her son. She was very upset and she came back the next and she was then allowed, she says, to go in for five-minutes. She was not allowed to see him alone. There were friends in there, a pastor was in there from the hospital, but what it does, at least for me is it raises an issue, because frankly I see both sides of this,” he said. “On the one hand yea it’s his mother, and he is in really bad condition, but on the other side from the fiancée’s perspective, when you think about it, he is fighting for his life and maybe the last thing she wants to have happen is for him to get really upset because that could be a turning point so she’s trying to protect him, so there really are two sides to this,” Levin explained.

He said that at this point nobody knows what this accident means for Morgan’s health or his career.

“What I am told is that the doctors just don’t know. They do not know if he’ll make a full recovery, he may, he may not. He was more severely injured I think than the reports that have come out suggest. He will be in the hospital for weeks, but more significantly than that is the rehabilitation,” he concluded.

It's only September, but the big box stores are already putting Christmas trees and apparel out on the shelves and some people say it's just too early for all that stuff!  “I just saw Christmas trees and Christmas decorations and my air conditioner is on at home. So I have no intention of going anywhere near them, I think it's a horrible idea,” one customer said.
