Police: Employee Allegedly Sold Crack At Main Line McDonald’s

WAYNE, Pa. -

Radnor Police say an employee gave a whole new definition to "Happy Meal" when they discovered he was selling drugs outside a popular restaurant.

Officers arrested 29- year-old Allen Trammell, an employee at McDonald’s, for drug possession and selling drugs while working.

Trammell was busted Tuesday night after he allegedly made four separate crack cocaine sales to undercover officers in the back parking lot at the popular McDonald’s restaurant.

Trammel is a food prep service member at the fast food joint located along the 500 block of West Lancaster Avenue in Wayne, PA.

Police say the drug dealing has been going on for the last 6 to 8 months, possibly a year. The suspect was working afternoon or evening shifts. Police estimate he was making $1,000 to $1,500 a week.

Undercover cops reportedly went to the restaurant multiple times and purchased drugs from Trammel.

“Our officers would call ahead on the cell phone, establish the date and time when he was working at the McDonald’s,” said Radnor Police Lt. Andy Block. "He would sell crack cocaine in package form to undercover officers in the parking lot of the McDonald’s while he was working and then return to work."

Detectives say they seized 57 packets of crack in pink envelopes when they busted Trammell. They were selling for $10 a packet. Trammell allegedly told investigators he was always in possession of cocaine and they could call him anytime.

He is being held on $100,000 bail.

McDonald’s issued the following statement: “As an independent owner/operator I take allegations such as these very seriously. However, it would be inappropriate for me to comment upon either a pending police matter or any employment-related matters”. -Tanya Holliday, McDonald's Owner/Operator.
