Boy Holding Lemonade Stand For Hearing Aids Gets Good News

Posted: Updated:
GLOUCESTER CITY, N.J. -

We've got an update on a New Jersey boy who selling lemonade to replace hearing aids he has been wearing since age 5.

We first told you the story of Logan Phelps, of Gloucester City, and the lemonade stand he's been running on Thursday night's FOX 29 News at 10.

The hearing aids Logan needs cost between $3,000 and $6,000, and insurance only covers a small portion.

Logan had an appointment at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia next month to be fitted for new hearing aids.

But on Friday afternoon, Zounds Hearing, of Cherry Hill, contacted FOX 29's Dawn Timmeney to say it will donate new digital hearing aids to Logan for free!

So, his family says they'll use the $4,000 he already raised selling "Logan-Aid" and other donations to help a little girl in a nearby community who is in a similar situation.

Thanks to all of our FOX 29 Facebook fans for helping to share our post on Logan so quickly! It reached more than 500,000 people by Friday afternoon.

If you'd like more information on Logan's lemonade stand or if you want to make a donation, please visit Love For Logan Phelps.
