42 arrests, 34 overdoses during Seaside music festival
Thirty-five adults and seven juveniles, most on drug-related charges, were arrested during the Electric Adventure Beach Weekend in Seaside Heights over the weekend, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.
There also were 34 drug overdoses during the electronic music festival that ran from 4 p.m. Saturday until late Sunday, Al Della Fave, spokesman for the prosecutor's office, said Monday. None of the overdoses was fatal.
Of the 35 adults arrested, 20 of them were on drug charges, and three of the seven juveniles arrested were facing drug charges, Della Fave said. The majority of the issues were contained within the festival venue, he said.
