Mr. Lincoln at East Lynne Theater

A trip to the beautiful beaches of Cape May, and a journey back in time to the 1800's can be accomplished this summer at the East Lynne Theater Company. This 35 year old professional theatrical group is recognizing the 150th anniversary of the assassination of President Lincoln by presenting the play “Mr Lincoln.”

Tom Byrn takes on the demanding role of the iconic historical figure in this one may play. Gayle Stahlhuth not only directs the piece, but is artistic director of the East Lynne. Gayle and Tom spoke to me about this presentation and about creating an authentic feel and look for the audience to experience. Check out our conversation on a fresh “Valerie's New Jersey” podcast.

Mr Lincoln opens June 17 and runs through July 25.

There will be a talk back after the June 26th performance of Mr. Lincoln.

Huckleberry Finn and Strictly Dishonorable will also be presented this season at the East Lynne Theater Company.
