FBI announces arrest of man believed to be 'Fashion Forward Bandit'

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Officials with the FBI announced Tuesday afternoon that 26-year-old Kip Lessard, a man authorities believe to be the "Fashion Forward Bandit".

According to a statement released by the FBI Tuesday afternoon, Lessard was arrested in his Chandler home on Monday. Lessard, according to the statement, is charged in a Federal criminal complaint, in connection with 16 robberies associated with the Fashion Forward Bandit.

The Fashion Forward Bandit is accused of targeting banks, fast food restaurants, grocery stores, and a pet store. Lessard, meanwhile, was transferred to U.S. Marshals custody Tuesday morning.
