T’Rhigi Craig was shot and killed around 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Eastland and Bouldercrest roads as he slept in the backseat of his mother’s SUV. Investigators said the shot came from the gas station at the intersection. Evidence led them to the teenager as being the gunman, police said.

“The loss of T’Rhigi is tragic and senseless. It is my hope that this arrest will bring some sense of comfort and closure to his family,” Chief James W. Conroy was quoted as saying in a release sent to FOX 5 News Wednesday evening.

Loved ones said goodbye to the little boy over the weekend at Israel Baptist Church. The funeral was paid for by rapper 21 Savage, who saw the story and wanted to help.
