Celebrating 40 years of Jersey City’s Newport! Led by developers Samuel J. LeFrak and Melvin Simon, construction began in 1986 on the former Erie Railroad yards to establish what is today a residential and commercial hub. This investment continues today in honor of the anniversary milestone with a major philanthropy initiative.
