Police have reportedly found the body of a man who went missing after falling from a canoe into White Meadow Lake Sunday morning.

According to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, the Rockaway Township Police Department was dispatched to White Meadow Lake at 3 a.m. Sunday, responding to multiple 911 calls regarding a canoe that capsized carrying two men.

Over 30 first responders searched for the missing canoe.

One adult male was rescued and was taken to the hospital and released, but the search continued for the other man who had been in the canoe.

NJ.com reports that the man's body was found on Tuesday morning.

Teddy Katz, who lives in the area, says the lake isn’t that deep—maybe about 10 feet in the middle if that and the lake is clear enough to sometimes see the bottom but mentioned that the lake has a lot of seaweed at the bottom and he believes that could be the reason why authorities had trouble finding the other man.

The identities of the men have not been released.
