Havana On The Hudson

Four Cuban refugees are living the American dream in New Jersey thanks to the efforts of the mayor of West New York NJ.

Felix Roque, who is a pain management doctor, is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars of his own money, bringing Cubans to America. There's been a wave of migration from Cuba in recent years as refugees hope to take advantage of a 1966 immigration law in the U.S. Unfortunately, many refugees had gotten stuck in Central America as some countries closed their borders.

"My goal is to get them all here to the U.S.," Roque said. "These are people who want to work. They're professionals, doctors, lawyers, engineers. They are people looking to get out of the Castro regime," he said.

Dr. Roque estimates spending $200,00 of his own money to bring them to America and he doesn't plan on stopping any time soon.
