Urban cowboy in court
The urban cowboy is back in court.
Tod "Doc" Mishler maintained his innocence outside a Staten Island Courthouse on Wednesday. Veterinarians accused Mishler of animal abuse in June when he rode his horses along the Outerbridge Crossing. His horses were found to be dehydrated with bleeding sores.
Mishler is due back in court on January 9th. In response to the animal abuse allegations, he has filed a $50 million lawsuit against New York. All proceeds, he says, will go towards fighting the heroin epidemic in Staten Island.
