2 New York City men indicted in New Jersey home burglaries

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) — Two New York City men have been indicted in a series of burglaries in nine central New Jersey communities.

The 142-count indictment handed up Tuesday by a Middlesex County grand jury charges Felix Bruno and Anthony Goodwine with theft, burglary and conspiracy. It was made public on Wednesday.

Prosecutors say the two men from the Bronx committed the burglaries between December 2013 and August 2014, collecting more than $850,000 in cash and jewelry.

Both men face 25 counts for burglaries they allegedly committed together. Bruno also faces another 113 counts, while Goodwine faces four separate counts.

Both men remain jailed, and it wasn't clear if either man has retained an attorney.

The burglaries occurred in Edison, East Brunswick, South Brunswick, Piscataway Old Bridge, North Brunswick, South Plainfield and Milltown.
