Burst pipe creates waterfall in Minneapolis parking garage

A burst pipe created a waterfall down the stairs at the parking garage of the old Macy's in downtown Minneapolis.

According to Minneapolis Fire Department officials, firefighters responded to a burst stand pipe Tuesday evening. The stand pipe carries water throughout the building so that can firefighters can connect their hoses during an emergency.

Officials believe the pipe froze during the recent deep freeze.

This wasn't the only case of water woes in Minneapolis. Firefighters responded to about a dozen calls of burst pipes.
