It happened just before 2:30 p.m. at a home on the corner of Valley Road and N. Oak Street. Officials said Alicia Crowder woke up to discover the blazes. She ran out of her home to get help, but firefighters said flames quickly overtook the home.
Neighbors tried to help Crowder search the home for the two young children, but were not successful.

Crowder suffered burns to about 30 to 40 percent of her body. She was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
Fire investigators said they will be ruling the fire an accidental electrical fire. Firefighters believe it started in the hallway.
Officials said Crowder has three other children, all under the age of 8. They were at school at the time of the fire. They will be staying with a family member while she remains in the hospital.
The Stark Elementary School PTO is now collecting new clothes and shoes for the children, along with monetary donations to go to help the entire family.
