Dolly Parton announces a 'Season of Showstoppers' at Dollywood

Let's be honest, if anyone has perfected the art of the "showstopper," it is the legendary Dolly Parton. So when Mrs. Parton herself says 2018 is going to be a "Season of Showstoppers" at Dollywood, you best believe her!

Award-winning theme park Dollywood officially kicked off its 33rd season on Friday morning, March 16, and Pigeon Forge attraction was the scene of plenty of activity thanks to a visit from Dolly Parton herself. The legendary singer-songwriter-actress-businessperson, the list goes on and on, spent the morning at Dollywood discussing the 2018 season, on which the park spent an additional $1 million to bring what Ms. Parton say is the biggest entertainment lineup in Dollywood history.

All-new this year is the Spring Mix music series in April, featuring music icons including Crystal Gayle, Amy Grant, The Drifters, and The Marshall Tucker Band among many others. That event joins favorites including Dollywood's Festival of Nations, running through April 9th, and Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Christmas, beginning in November.

Good Day's Paul Milliken would never miss a chance to visit Dollywood, especially when Dolly Parton is there, too! He spent Friday morning getting a sneak peek at this year's season with the legendary entertainer.
