Edison Councilman Mascola changes political party affiliation
Edison politics added a new chapter to its controversial history. A little over two weeks ago, Edison Police Officer Keith Hahn shook the status quo by becoming chairman of the Edison Democratic Organization.
In a new twist to the political scene, Edison Councilman Wayne Mascola has changed party affiliation from Democrat to Republican as of June 26.
Prior to Hahn becoming chairman, Mascola wasn't selected as the sitting incumbent to run on the Democratic ticket for 2015. Instead two newcomers Ajay Patil and Leonard Sendelsky were chosen to run replaced him and fellow Councilman, Dr. Prasad. Patil and Sendelsky join incumbents Councilmen Robert Karabinchak and Michael R. Lombardi as the Democratic ticket.
