A Georgia city is helping out those hit hardest on the Florida Keys by Hurricane Irma.

Four employees from the city of LaGrange traveled down to Key West on Monday to help provide aid in power line restoration. The city is part of the Electric Cities of Georgia, which was asked to assist in recovery efforts by FEMA.

The city said five workers have been in Florida since last week. They traveled to Ft. Valley and Monticello, Georgia then Winter Park, Florida before heading to the Keys.

“The guys are always willing to face extreme conditions to restore power within our city and any other electric provider that needs assistance,” City of LaGrange Electric Superintendent Jay Bartlett was quoted as saying in a release.

Albany, Acworth, Griffin, Cartersville, LaFayette, and Dalton also have sent aid workers to Florida.
