Good Day LA Halloween Costume Cosplay Carnival with NerdBot Cosplayers

Cosplay isn’t the sole domain of the social stereotype, the socially awkward nerd in his parent’s basement. Cosplayers are father/daughter teams, nurses, firemen, IT workers, Deputy Sheriffs, and more!

Ahead of Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con and Halloween just a little over a week away we wanted to show you some of the awesome costumes that folk just like you have spent their days putting together ahead of the cosplay holidays. Some of the folks who showed up to our Good Day LA Cosplay Costume show have spent up to six months building their suits. If you have any questions about how to make your cosplay awesome, or don’t know where to start, check out nerdbot.com!

If you don’t know what “cosplay” is, it is the words “costume” and “play” together. Commonly seen at various pop culture, comic book and anime conventions, those who create or commission costumes to be made will show up to enjoy taking part in their favorite hero, video game, or anime icon for that show and sometimes to take pictures with fans who appreciate their costuming skills. Often this results in cosplayers becoming popular among convention crowds and building large followings on social media.

For reference, the General Grievous costume took approximately 6 months to build, as did MegaTron. If you’d like to follow some of the people in the video above, you can check them out on their fan pages:
