Is it worth $10 for a palm reading?
Of course everybody wants to see into their future, but how do you know if the psychic you're going to is worth the big bucks -- $10 to read one palm?
Comedian Tyler Fisher went undercover to find out, and it was all captured on video.
Fisher wanted to see what his futures hold so he visited multiple psychics to see what they say, and if they’re accurate.
“I went around to 10 of the psychics in New York City and I got a reading, I got a future prediction from a palm reading, with a hidden camera to see if psychics are real,” Fished explained.
In the various videos, psychics appear to tell Fisher something different about his future:
“I see marriage for you in the next few years.”
“You’ll be married in your late 30’s.”
“Maybe a child, but not marriage. You’re not the marrying kind.”
“You’re going to be a father of 3 kids.”
“Kids, 2 boys.”
Now, the question is, does Fisher now believe that psychics can see the future?
“I don’t think it’s legit. I felt like they were all reading from a script,” Fisher said.
The act of fortune telling was banned in NY in 1967. It can be punished by 90 days in jail or a $500 fine, so instead psychics refer to themselves as entertainers.
However, the psychic industry is a $2 billion a year business.
