Person of interest in Hall County burglary arrested

HALL COUNTY, Ga. - A Hall County burglary suspect with a tattoo that's pretty hard to miss has finally been captured.

Carlton Mathis was a person of interest in a burglary at a Texaco in north Hall County back on April 1.

The sheriff’s office in Alachua County, Florida arrested Mathis early Monday morning.

The sheriff's office said a SWAT team member shot Mathis as he tried to drive away. He was taken to the hospital where he was being treated for his injuries.

Mathis has a distinctive tattoo on his face which reads “pale face” just under his eyes.
