Police: footprints led officers to suspect in deadly stabbing

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Footprints in the snow lead DeKalb County Police right to the prime suspect in a fatal stabbing.

Sasha McCalop, 38, is charged with murder.

An officer was leaving the scene on Welland Avenue last night, but noticed footprints in the snow.

The officer followed the footprints which led to a nearby shed.

McCalop was inside with blood on her body, according to police reports.

Investigators said McCalop admitted to stabbing the victim during a struggle.
