Police respond to 911 call after 12-foot Burmese Python is spotted
PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Police in Florida say they responded to a 911 call after a giant snake was spotted slithering across the road.
The Pembroke Pines Police Department tracked down the 12-and-a-half-foot Burmese Python.
They took this video while transferring the animal to police headquarters.
A licensed python remover eventually collected the giant snake to be euthanized.
The snakes are invasive species to Florida and are a threat to people, pets, and native wildlife.
