Police say car was stolen in New Jersey with teen inside

UNION, N.J. (AP) — Police say two men stole a New Jersey couple's car without realizing initially that their 15-year-old son was in the backseat.

Authorities tell NJ.com (http://bit.ly/1LvflDn ) that the theft happened around 2 p.m. Sunday in Union.

While a couple were out of the car for a stop at an ATM, two men jumped in and drove off before noticing the boy. Police say they stopped and ordered the teen to get out of the car.

He was found later, uninjured.

The 1998 Honda Passport was later recovered with heavy damage. Union Township Police Capt. Scott Breslow says it appeared to have hit a tree.

No arrests have been made.
