Ready, Set, Shop: Clark Commons opens to the public
Several tenants of the Clark Commons opened their doors to the public this week. Modell's, Torrid and LA Fitness began welcoming guests while other stores were experimenting with soft openings and holding in-store job fairs.
At last week's Chamber of Commerce meeting, Clark's Business Administrator John Laezza said, "Most of the eateries will open by July 1 and stores will continue to open when they are completed, leading up to the official grand opening on August 7, after the opening of Whole Foods."
Laezza explained further that he sees The Clark Commons as "a project put together by the people of Clark." He was referring to the results of a questionnaire sent out five years ago to the citizens of Clark when the United States Gypsum plant was due to close.
