School: Photo Appears to Show Student in KKK Hood
SHARPSBURG, Ga. (AP) - A Georgia school says a photo has surfaced on social media showing a student apparently dressed in a Ku Klux Klan-style hood in the campus parking lot, and officials are investigating.
East Coweta High School Principal Steve Allen wrote parents a letter saying the photo was taken Tuesday. He says the student also is apparently wearing a Confederate-style flag.
Allen says administrators found out about the photo, identified two students involved and conducted an immediate investigation. He says it found that no specific threat was made in the incident, and the Coweta County School System continues to investigate.
Allen says the school system doesn't tolerate behavior intended to bully, harass or intimidate others on local campuses. The letter gives no other details.
