SORRY EAST COAST: Sunshine, warm temperatures greet Arizonans and tourists
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - For those in Arizona, it's hard not to enjoy the above average temperatures during this time of the year. In fact, a record temperature of 81F was set in Yuma on Friday.
This warm streak is also stretching all the way across the state. With temperatures in the mid to upper 70s, it sure hasn't been feeling like winter, and vacationers are just loving it.
Pat Dolan, a Montana native, was happy to leave the layers of clothes back home.
"We just left a week ago, and there was 29 inches of snow and 25 below zero, wind chill factor 40 below. It was pretty chilly," said Dolan.
One thing is for sure, the weather in Arizona has tourists thinking why they are not here, all year round.
