South Brunswick: Man brings heroin to court, faces new charges

A 33-year-old Franklin man probably should have emptied his pockets the night before heading to municipal court instead of bringing nine decks of heroin to the courtroom, police said.

According to police, Michael Pino of Franklin attended municipal court Nov. 24 when officers in the court screening area asked him to empty his pockets.

Police said that Pino emptied some of the contents in front of officers Ken Bird and Alan Quercia, but a bulge remained in one of the front jeans pockets.
