SouthPark Mall's glacier set will soon begin to melt. The mall announced Sunday that it plans to remove the glacier and replace it with traditional decor.

David Contis, president of Simon Malls recently said in a statement, "After listening to customer feedback,  Simon made the decision to remove the modern, interactive Santa set that was installed at SouthPark and replace them with traditional décor that centers around Christmas trees. Our focus is on ‘Spreading Love,' which is the theme throughout all of our shopping centers during the holiday season, and we are looking forward to celebrating the holidays with our shoppers as we do every year."

Before SouthPark made this decision, many people took to social media to express their thoughts and protest about the modernized display.

One father and his children created a YouTube video singing about their desire to see a Christmas tree. Click here to check it out.
