A Charlotte teenager wanted for the murder of Truc Quan Ly “Sandy” Le has been added to the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted Fugitives" list.

The FBI and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating Alejandro "Alex" Castillo, 18, whom investigators allege is responsible for the 2016 murder of Le.

Castillo should be considered armed and extremely dangerous with violent tendencies, and an escape risk, police said.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading directly to his arrest.

Castillo's last known residence was in Charlotte. He has ties to Phoenix, Arizona. Castillo was seen crossing into Mexico and may reside in San Francisco de los Romo, Aguascalientes, or Pabellón de Arteaga, Aguascalientes. He also may have traveled to the Mexican states of Guanajuato or Veracruz.

The FBI said Castillo may wear his hair short and shaved on the sides.

Le’s body was found in Cabarrus County on August 17, 2016. Initial reports to the police in early August 2016, listed Castillo, Le, and Ahmia Feaster as missing. The three had worked together at a Charlotte restaurant.

After Le’s body was discovered, investigators developed information that Castillo and Feaster fled to Mexico. Feaster turned herself in to authorities in Aguas Calientes, Mexico and was extradited to North Carolina. She is facing several charges including accessory charges related to the murder.

A third person, Felipe Ulloa, 18, was charged in March 2017 for their involvement in the murder of Le. Ulloa is charged with accessory after the fact of murder.
