ATLANTA - Vice President Mike Pence is visiting Atlanta Friday.
Air Force Two touched down at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport just after 3:30 p.m.
Mr. Pence is scheduled to deliver remarks at an America First Policies event, as part of a series called "Tax Cuts to Put America First" at the Loews Atlanta Hotel.
His speech is expected to focus on tax reform and how it will impact Georgia.
Rep. Barry Loudermilk, Rep. Bob Woodall, and Rep. Karen Handel, as well as Georgia Governor Nathan Deal, are all expected to attend the event.
The Vice President is then expected to attend a fundraiser dinner for the Georgia Republican Party before returning to Washington late Friday night.
The Downtown Connector is expected to be shut down while the Vice President travels to and from the airport.
