World's oldest woman's tips for you
The world’s oldest woman, Susannah Mushatt Jones or Miss Suse, had her 116th birthday this week. Chasing News was lucky enough to celebrate with her and her family in Brooklyn.
Originally from Alabama, she made her way up to New York in 1923. Her niece, Selbra Mushatt, says there are three things that are very important to her, "Work hard, get an education & treat everyone nice.”
Jones has lost her eyesight and is hard of hearing but gets around in a wheelchair.
Her tips for you?
Well, she credits her long life to not partying or drinking. However, she does go through one pack of something a day: "Juicy fruit no no wait, double mint she likes more."
One of her other favorite activities has always been shopping at Bloomingdales.
“She did like her lace lingerie. If she didn’t have the money she would save up for what she wants."
At the end of her party, Miss Susie was able to thank everyone.
