Yasiel Puig's home reportedly burglarized on same night as Dodgers' World Series loss

The San Fernando Valley home of Los Angeles Dodgers star Yasiel Puig was burglarized some time during the club's loss to the Houston Astros in the seventh game of the World Series, it was reported Thursday.

Puig discovered the crime, in which some jewelry was stolen, when he got home from the ballpark, according to TMZ.

In March, a Sherman Oaks house belonging to Puig -- not the same residence as in the latest burglary -- was targeted in a burglary that resulted in the loss of about $500,000 worth of jewelry.

Last night's hit occurred in Encino.

A burglar reportedly broke a window to the residence during Wednesday night's crime, setting off an alarm, and the crime was caught on surveillance video. TMZ reported that jewelry was again stolen.

The Los Angeles Police Department's West Valley Division was investigating the burglary.
