That Kid's Got Game: 9-year-old 'Evel Knievel' from San Mateo

Move over Evil Knievel.

That's because AJ Stuntz is in town.

The 9-year-old San Mateo 4th grader (whose real name is AJ Heinckemy) is a force to be reckoned with on his motorcycle. And even better? The kid's got heart and soul.

According to his mom, Nancy Pantoia-Heinickemy, he started riding riding when he was three. He met Jason Pullen, a Harley stunt man, and decided at that point he wanted to be a motorcycle stunt performer, just like him. Pullen is now the boy's trainer.

AJ rides a Honda CRF125 and performs for free at many hospitals and nonprofits. For instance, he's raised money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation and the American Red Cross after the hurricanes and the North Bay fires. He also grew his hair, and then cut it. to give to a child with cancer, his mom said. He raised more than $3,000 for the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Sometimes he gets paid stunt show gigs, his mom said. (Full disclosure:  He'd love to find a financial sponsor.)

His lifetime goals, according to his mom? "To continue to give back to the community and inspire others,  to continue to do good in school,"

She said he also wants to pursue modeling and wants to do more acting commercials and TV shows.

One day, his mom said, he will "hopefully be in movie with his motorcycle doing his own stunts."
