"The polymicrobial infection, which arose on a picture of bronchiectasis and asmatiform bronchitis, and which required the use of antibiotic cortisone therapy, makes the therapeutic treatment more complex," a Vatican statement said.

Toronto Pearson Fire Chief Todd Aitken said 18 passengers were transported to the hospital. Toronto Pearson Airport President Flint said the FAA is helping Canadian officials in the Delta flight investigation. Officials say two passengers remain hospitalized at this time.
