Detective dies from injuries after shootout in York County

Detective Michael R. Doty, who was shot along with three other officers while searching for a suspect related to a domestic violence call earlier this week, has passed away as a result of his injuries, according to the York County Sheriff's Office.

The 21-year-old Hilinski was discovered in his apartment after he didn't show up for practice Tuesday. The Pullman Police Department says a rifle "was recovered next to Hilinski and a suicide note was found."
