New Jersey mall requires payment if kids want to visit Santa

Coast Guard rescues 2 men off southern New Jersey coast

Atlantic City casino revenue down 1.3 percent in October

(AP) — Atlantic City's casinos brought in 1.3 percent less in October than they did a year ago, but the state's Internet gambling operations were up significantly over the same period. Marist College in NY cancels classes over Twitter threat

The Poughkeepsie Journal reports (http://pojonews.co/1iZ04gO) that Marist College has canceled all Friday classes until further notice. An alert from the college says students who live on campus should stay in their residence halls. Marist College officials say the threat was posted on Twitter. No details have been released on the specifics of the threat.

New Jersey military base shuts gate because of vehicle

LAKEHURST, N.J. (AP) — Security closed a gate at a military base in New Jersey for about two hours because of a suspicious vehicle. Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst spokeswoman Christina Douglas says the commercial van was stopped at the Commercial Gate on the Lakehurst side of the installation around 8 a.m. Thursday. Douglass says security investigated and reopened the gate and the inbound lanes of the Main Gate by 10 a.m.
